The township is largely laid out in a grid of Concessions 1 to 19 running westward and Lots 1 to 30 running northward. The survey avoids the original Indian Reservations along the lake. Running along the south boundary of the township are Lots numbering 47 running westward. Along the lake, and on either side of the Lake Road are Lots numbering 83 running southward. In the northwest section surrounding Lake Burwell, are Concessions A, B, and C running westward, with 30 Lots.
