Garafraxa (West)
What remains of Garafraxa Twp. in Wellington Co. is only the western portion of the full township, the east portion having ceded to Dufferin Co. in 1879. The intact (original) Garafraxa Twp. had 25 Lots running northward with Concession 1 to 19,A,C running eastward. Garafraxa (West) is restricted to Concessions 1 to 8 (see early Patent Map). For our Transcription Projects, where early Directories and Maps have covered the township before the split, we have manually separated out records into East- and West- portions. Researchers are advised to check both.

Luther (West)
What remains of Luther Twp. in Wellington Co. is only the western portion of the full township, the east portion having ceded to Dufferin Co. in 1879. The intact (original) Luther Twp. had 14 Concessions running northward with Lots 1 to 32 running eastward. Luther (West) is restricted to Lots 1 to 18 (see early Patent Map). For our Transcription Projects, where early Directories and Maps have covered the township before the split, we have manually separated out records into East- and West- portions. Researchers are advised to check both.
